Neighbors boy in his early 20's and some friends just blew the inline Merc inboard motor on a neglected 86 Carravell he owned on purpose, It took 1/2 an hour or more of them reving the engine to wot. I heard the commotion and assumed someone was stuck in the mud in their backyard and went to offer assistance. When I got there they were smashing the engine and hull to pieces w a sledgehammer and evedently enjoying it alot:( I asked why not part it out and he replied no interest after months on CS. He was going to sell the trailor after they cut up the boat to get it off. Motor seemed to run pretty good to me and put up a fight till the end and was not smoking at all. made me sad:(

That stuff makes me sad, too. I went out to the lake yesterday and a sad neglected sailboat had finally gone down. The house it's docked at has been empty and for sale since before it was finished. A few months ago they lowered the lake and when they raised it back, the boat was caught under the dock.

They'd pulled it out since, but evidently haven't looked at it much as it's now sitting on the bottom. :(

What a shame.... Both (post 1&2). What can be seen of that house is beautiful; and so is the part of the sailboat sticking out of the water. That's really sad. There are so many hard working people who would love an opportunity to save that sailboat, or to have saved the Carravell.

What's the house selling for?

That is a shame--those kids just didn't realize what they had. I bet when they get older and wiser this will be one of those dohooo moments.
