I had a bad week last week. I had to put down one of my favorite cats which was only 5 years old. RIP Clover :( Buried on our property.

The same day the kitchen septic tank plugged up...... repaired.

The furnace needed a major overhaul which I finally got done today...... many many new parts.

I put the Starcraft into storage in a garage in town and went for my last ride of 2013 on my BMW bike and garaged that too.

My yard is bare and it is almost time to mount up the plow :( and put the snow tires on the wife's car.

I really am not a Winter person........

Re: Sad day

Sorry about your kitty, Bob....... When it rains it pours, or maybe snows. Yeah, this time of year is not a whole lot of fun... Light snow as we speak. I'll be happy if there's rideable snow in December. Sleddin' helps keep a little sanity until spring. As you, I need to put the plow tires on but not before they start talkin' about some real snow. Plow will be going on and off all winter.......

Really sorry about your cat. Been down that road and it's surprisingly emotional. Cheer up though, you've got a boat a motorcycle a house and a wife. Winter will be gone before you know it.

Re: Sad day

really sad about your cat Bob. 5 years old is pretty young for a cat.

i don't have much interest in dogs (i like dogs, just don't want to own one), but really can't get enough of cats.
fwiw, the only thing i've found to cure the bad blues ya get from loseing a cat. is another cat. even though there is no replacement for any cat that ya lose. they're all individuals and each is very unique.

the other break downs will get fixed and sounds like your all over the repairs. our emotions for our pets i don't think are so easy to cure. i know i still think about my past cats often even though i got 2 great ones presently.

sorry again for your loss.

Re: Sad day

Sorry about your cat Bob. Losing any pet stinks. Losing a favorite is even worse.

Vermont is kinda' a rough spot for a non-winter kinda' guy, isn't' it? It tends to be very "Vermont-y" in the winter. When you're ready, hook up the ole' Starcraft and head this way. Southern rivers an' lakes'll be ready when you are. ;)

RIP Clover. I'm orry, Bob.

You need to move to warmer climes. VT isn't the place for you. But Summer is probably outstanding.

IMG_1938.JPGThank you everyone. Yes, he was raised by our dogs and on occasion he acted like one. Very missed here.

Moving South is out of the question since the grand children live 3 miles away and my wife's family is from VT and local too.

Sorry for your loss Bob. Kitties rule. Seems like when it rains it pours, so it figures there would be lots of other bad news too. Of course, that means you've paid your dues for a while so hopefully things will improve. Feel free to come on down to FL if you need some sun.

Sorry to hear about Clover, Bob. We recently lost one of our 7 yr. old Blue Russian twins. 25 lb. Hercules. As bad as it was for us, we were amazed just how hard his brother, Sampson took it. Within less than 6-weeks my wife couldn't stand it anymore and brought home another baby Blue Russian, Caesar. In less than a week, they were best of friends. I was quite surprised. Best of luck to you.

Re: Sad day

I have always loved dogs. Had cats when we were growing up. But we had this cat that lived 7 years with us. She died a few years ago. The day we had to put her down was just terrible. Made me want to never have another one. That day she just came to me and sat up right on the floor and stared at me. Then just walked off. Like she was saying she was in so much pain would I help her or that it was time for her to go--and it was. We had took her to the Vet a week before and they thought she was terminally ill. Really would have been easier on all of us if we had ended it right there. But no, we were such weenies lol One smart cat that had us trained not the other way around LOL
Sorry to hear about your cat, Bob and other problems you are having. I think animals have a special place in Heaven. Many people, who have been declared clinically dead and came back, said they saw animals where they went. I sure hope that is true

Sorry about your cat Bob! That always sucks.

I certainly agree, time to put the plow on, I finally finished rebuilding the pump on it last weekend, put the 5th wheel to bed and the snow tires on the car Sunday, now onto the ever lasting Montana Winter!

VISITING South is a great idea 'cause the grand children live 3 miles away and we can grab 'em on the way to DollyWood. my wife's family is from VT and local too, so they'll keep an eye on the critters for a week or two.
Fixed it for ya'. I'll even hook ya' up with a boat …

Re: Sad day

It is hard to explain the feeling when we lose one of our animals. The void is real and it takes some time for it to leave. The animals spirit has left but the good news is that it does indeed have a spirit and even though it no longer lives there with you it still lives. I believe in the real possibility of being with it again . This thought has helped me deal with the lose of our dog almost a year ago. Sorry for your lose.
