Sacrificial anode?

A few years back I hit a dredge pipe and destroyed the gearcase of my 98 115. I found an old 70s model gearcase and replaced the guts with my 98 gears, driveshaft and prop shaft. Everything measured up perfectly and has worked fine for several years.

Now the problem. During my receint powerhead rebuild I came across quite a bit of corrosion. I think it is partially due to the fact the 70s model lower unit did not have a sacrificial anode. Does anybody have any suggestions on where to buy a generic anode to mount on a 115 without a sacrificial anode? The 90s model had a slot in the lower unit for one but the 70s model has none.

Re: Sacrificial anode?

there are anodes that bolt the anti-ventilation plate.
