Sacrificial anode placement. Which way should it point?

I went down to the old vessel today and noticed that my anode was gone. It must have vibrated its way off, because it was there not too long ago. I actually have 2 questions. First, in the last 2-3 weeks I have experienced some minor electric "Gremlins". Could this have been a result of not having the anode in place? Could there potentially be any damage if the anode had been off for a short while? And now that I attached a replacement anode, which directions should it point? I know it is used to compensate for for the prop rotation, but what way is it supposed to be placed?

Type of motor please. HP or Model. In mostr cases they have a set place to be installed, but having one attached in sea water is quite important. Would suggest looking in your manual for whatever type of motor you have. A far as electrical problems, it is possible, but more likley you have a short as well. Should run resistance checks between battory and motor.

If you did not learn anything today, you should have stayed in bed.

Sorry about the omission. I have a Yammy 130 2 stroke year 2000.
