my questions is can i charge the battery though my trolling motor plug ? i just ran my trolling motor wires and battery and fish finder wires and it seems easy to just unplug the trolling motor and get another plug for my battery charger and plug it in there to charge my battery. i have 1 group 27 battery and a 12 volt trolling motor i also have my fish finder hooked to the same battery. let me know if this i a good idea since the battery is under my deck and this would be the easyest way to charger her back up.

It will work. If there is a circuit break in between the socket and the batt then the resistance of the breaker will slow down the charge process. <br /><br />You can also just add another connector (Radio shack has some nice ones) exclusivly for your charger.. just wire it the same and use a fuze.
