I don't know if it will help your rust or not, but Tilex mold and mildew, did a great job on my seats after my boat had sat for several years before I got it. I had tried several of the things that you have already tried.

I have used plain bleach and let it set a few minutes...It took off the red stain but i'm not sure if the stain was rust or red mud..

CLR may do the trick, if not then you can use muriatic acid. If you use the acid, have the hose handy and turned on. It will take the rust stain out for sure, but you don't want to let it sit on metal parts or it will eat away at the finish. It will do nothing to the vinyl or fiberglass but will take away the stains.

Ifn you use strong bleach, then do small areas with a rag wet in the solution. Dab it on the vinyl and do not let any of the solution get to the stitching. Bleach will make short order of the thread stiching. But should take out the stain. Remove with another wetted rag to remove the bleach solution.
Uncle Dave

Forget the bleach. For one it is hard on the vinyl, two, it does not deal with iron oxide. Check with a hardware store/market in an area that has rusty well water and get a bottle of Whink. It is diluted acid of the same type that they etch glass with. It will literally re-dissolve the iron oxide (ferric) back into dissolved iron (ferrous) and then you rinse it all away. No (or very little) scrubbing except that the porosity of the fabric requires to get into the pores.

Won't hurt the stitching, won't hurt the vinyl!

I dont think bleach will do it since I already tried softscrub with bleach with no results.I guess CLR or Whink.I think CLR is pretty much the same stuff as the Lime Away I tried ,with no success. The muriatic acid will make me go to the Home Depot to get it and I never get out of there without spending a few hundred unexpected dollars.

Try bonami it is the only thing that takes all the exhaust scum off the back of my boat if I am trolling all day and it also takes off the rest of the scum on the hull. I mean it takes it off fast it will also remove water marks from glass.

Lemon juice and salt on top. Let it sit overnight. Might have to put more on every once in a while. Keep it wet. Rinse.. Works....

Don't use muratic CC, use whink. Whink is an acid but it is not dangerous like muratic. Whink is not like CLR or LimeAway (all worthless IMHO) and it is made to dissolve iron stains. Citric acid or Oxalic acid might help but won't be as effective as whink.
