running out of gas in carb

i have a 15 horse evinrude when im running down the river at half to full throttle it will go dead.i haft to pump the bulb to keep it going. I have already cheked the fuel pump its ok. I had A leak in the fitting own the gas tank i fixed it but have not tried it yet may be some one can give a little more advice

Welcome to the forum. Sounds like you are well on your way to having it fixed. You were probably pulling air with your fuel. After you give it a test run let us know what happened.

Also have a close look at the fitting where the fuel line attaches to the outboard. The o-ring in the line part of the fitting is subject to wearing out and is a frequent source of problems. You can replace just the o-ring in the connector, but if you replace the entire connector then get it from the dealer. It seems a lot more robust than the cheapys.<br />Good luck!
