Re: Running engine without Prop

I have one control for both, can I advance the throttle? Or will it be way out of balance without a prop?

It's the only way to safely start an engine with the boat out of the water. Don't ever start the engine with a prop on if the boats out of the water!!!

It's far better balanced without the prop.........

You can but rightway to set up the carb (idle and mix.)is in the water in forward. If you set your idle at 750 on the deck it won't be 750 in the water in gear under load.
