Hi If I'm running 2 Fusion amps (600watt and 300watt) would it be wise to add a second battery and upgrade my alternator.
We only plan on using it while boat is under way.
600 watt amp running 2 pair of 6" (75 watt speakers)
300 watt amp running a 12" sub.

thanks

No there is no real need to add a second battery. The AMPS are small enough to be able to be carried by the battery and ALT. You'll be fine since you plan on listening only when the boat is underway.

I agree with that, including the part about scaring the fish.

I have a 4 speaker system on deck power (50x4) and one 12" sub with a 222W Sony Explod amp. We listen to music all the time with the boat off. I figure I'm good for a few hours of that before needing to run the engine.

I agree. But you know, my sub enclosure just takes up way too much room... :D
