I have a 1982 Evinrude 7.5 horse motor that runs great some days and terrible on other days.
When I start it she runs good but after starting it a few times to move to new spots it slows down a lot. It does not do this all the time so I am going crazy trying to figure out the problem.
It does seem to load up the plug on the bottom cylinder. Any ideas?

Oh yeah it is real hard to start sometimes after warm up.

Does your prime bulb stay hard all the time ,check to see if it's hard when your problem happens if not you have a fuel leak to check for it would be sucking air

Look at your fuel pump and see if it mounts to the top or bottom cylinder. If the pump diaphraim is starting to leak,it will pour extra fuel into the cylinder that powers it.

You may think the bottom cylinder plug is loading up by it's darker color, but if the top cylinder plug is nice and clean,it maybe washed out by this excess fuel.
Or the reverse.

DHP
