rpm's for a '88 evinrude 120 V4?

Still waiting for my manual...<br /><br />Could in the mean time somebody plz tell me what I am looking for, rpm wise at WOT? It's for a '88 V4 120HP evinrude. (BE 120PCCA) Is it 5500 what I want?

Agreed. Not bad but I would go for 5800-6000 with an average load if it were mine, as reeldutch suggested.<br /><br />Great motor! Good luck!

Bedankt! Thanks!<br />I'm @ 4800 now with the 21 pitch.... so I need to lose some pitch. quickly I guess.... Is it really bad to take this prop skiing for this weekend? It's not that I exceed 4000 rpms with the wakeboard but it will still put the engine to work... can I?

4800 is realy lugging it.<br />to much strain on the motor.<br />especialy if you pull skiers.<br /> <br />i'm not realy the guy to talk to about this subject but 4800 for a 120 v4 is not good.<br />check your compression before changing props or raising motor.<br />and have a great weekend waterskiing.<br /><br />reeldutch.<br /><br />houdoe (means goodbuy in slang dutch)
