RPM's for 1955 Johnson 25 horse

I'm seeing the '55 is supposed to have a top RPM of 4000, and they raised it to 4500 for '56 or '57 (can't remember wich one). <br />I'm turning 4410 WOT.<br /><br />Should I get more pitch to drop rpm's, or leave it alone? <br /><br />I know this sounds like a prop question, but it's not - I don't know what rpm's I should put this motor at.

I'm pretty sure the WOT range on your '55 should be 4000-5000 RPM. Is it indicated otherwise on the nameplate? I've got a list around here somewhere, but the Old OMC site flyers have that range for '52 and '53 25hps ('54 & '55 not indicated).
