Can anyone tell me the max rpm for a 1987 model 30 hp Yahama? I can't get the motor to rev like I think it should. Will changeing the prop make it rev higher? I run it on a 1448 flat bottom boat and it wont run but about 22 mph. Should be faster right? Thanks for the help. <br /> akantmc3 davidw7@nexband.com

'mornin Akantmc3,<br /><br />all i can offer is a rule-of-thumb. you should anticipate picking up about 200 rpm for every inch of pitch that you loose.<br /><br />Your manual should advise opperating rpm range for your motor.<br /><br />Good Luck<br />HAVE FUN!
