I'm usin a friends boat for a few weeks because our boat is in the shop for fiberglass work. Anyway it was nice of our friend to let us his 23ft John Allmand. Anyways it has 225 HP 2 stroke Fuel Injected suzuki. This morning I went out to go fishing and i started it up. i was about 50 degrees outside but it cranked right up. I let it warm and we loaded our gear and headed out. about ten yard from the dock and about 20 minutes of idling it died. So I put throttle up and cranked up the engine to blast the carbon out of the cylinders thinking that the plugs were fouled. It staeted up and and ran alright. later on that day while idling a 1200rpm it cut off again. i started it back up and along we went at idling pace. Since i have an IO and not a V6 outboard i'm not use to the way they run. It seems to me that all V6 two stroke outboards have that rough running sound. as we were going along I decided to trouble shoot the engine while at an idling speed. I put my hand on the cowling of the motor and it was running smooth then all of a sudden it would shake like I was dropping a cylinder or two. However at speeds above 1700rpm it runs smooth and dosen't die. I figured that the oil injection system is running to rich. Any help would be great.
Thanks, Dan
