Finally, the steering cable broke this weekend. I was able to cripple home just before the tropical wave hit here in Belize.
Now, I need to replace the steering cable and I am looking at purchasing a new steering kit. I currently have a 21ft centre console fishing boat, with a 90HP merc 4 stroke o/b The broken steering is Rotary but I am looking at replacing the steering with a Rack system.
Does anyone have any opinions on which is better, easier to install, etc?
