well, long story short, while manuevering around some boats whle trying to get some anchor bite, i got a rope caught around the prop, and the motor died.. at the time, i didnt know what happened, and i restarted the motor, and it started right up, but i tried moving, and instantly died.. i did this 2-3 times before i realized what had happened.. i pulled the motor up and hopped in the water, untangled the rope, and dropped the motor back in.. it started right up, and seemed to be ok, shifting into gear, and going just fine..

do you think i lucked out? is there anything i should check out?? it scared me, but i felt better when i got it moving again.. i am a admitted newbie, ill gaurantee i wont do this again, i hope.. lol

Should be fine. The only real concern for me would be my prop hub. But doesn't sound like you got it wound around there for long enough to do any serious damage...
