I have a Nitro Bass boat, and I am inexperienced as a boater. Very often while observing other boats like mine i see a "rooster tail" shooting upward. My question is very simply how is this done???
The motors are mounted higher or the jackplate is set higher (increased X dimension). Yes it will be harder to control if you use only the trim to put on a show.

Good luck!
Also, while this looks good, without a water pressure gauge, you could cook your motor. This "rooster tail" business is for racing motors
not fishing.
ok thats what i figured thanks for all the help in answering this question. I do have a water pressure guage, but i was only interested in getting a little more speed if needed.
Tell us more about your set up like top RPM's, speed and water pressure. We can calculate slip % and maybe get you a little more speed. Got a jackplate?

Good luck!
