Re: Rollers

Nylon or steel sleeves on the rollers?
If steel, then give them away and replace with nylon, (I had nothing but trouble with my steel ones once rust set in).
If nylon then they'll clean up OK. Put some marinised vasoline on the shafts when you put them back togeather.
If you can't do them all at once (as I couldn't) then jack the boat clear of each one to replace.
Ross

Re: Rollers

I'll tell you this much, It's a pig of a job getting rollers on siezed shafts off. There's only one way to do it without ruining the supports and thats to use a jig saw with a long blade. Slip it between the roller and the housing so it just cuts the steel pin. Any other way I tried didn't work nearly as well.
Replace with stainless!
Good luck, Ross

Re: Rollers

Replace the system with bunks! Less moving parts and a lot easier to maintain.
