Re: Roller Guide-ons

I'd say it is mostly preference just like any other guide-on, whether they are bunks, posts, or rollers. I have my bunks set up so that when the boat is perfectly centered on the trailer there is about 1 inch clearance on each side and I like it that way. That is my preference though and I know others that have theirs touching, and others with several inches of clearance. I don't see why it would be any different for the roller post guides.

I would think the closer you have them to the boat the easier it would be to get the boat sitting right on the trailer in windy weather.

Re: Roller Guide-ons

i have about an inch or two clearance on mine. If the gap is the same on both sides, then i know the boat is loaded right. I figured I wanted some room for the boat to move around when i was loading it.

Thanks for the replies.

Think I'll go with about a 1 inch spacing and see how that works out.
