I have an old foil thats shaped like a an oval with a groove on opposite ends. One end snaps in and when staggered is used to connect the sections which are 6' 7" each. It takes up to a 5/16 wire. I'm trying to determine what brand it is so I can construct a usable furler around it. I search the web completely..only new stuff is shown. Any help? Also..If you have any parts or a junk furler, please let me know. I am putting together a Hurricane Katrina victim and am short on funds. Its a 28' sloop. Thanks, Bob

Re: Roller furling setup

wish i could help, but thats a tough one. about 10 years ago I was rigging sailboats for a dealer and most of them were either Harken, Shaeffer, or Profurl... the only one that was oval shaped (best I can remember) was the Harken...and maybe the pro-furl. the shaeffer was round...
