Rod holders for a pontoon

We just recently bought a pontoon for fishing and are looking for some rod holders that can be mounted to the rail that goes around the perimeter of the boat. We will be trolling / fishing for hybrids and these fish are pretty strong and when they hit your bait it really yanks the pole so the mounting has to be quite sturdy. Any suggestions on what type or brand to get.

Thanks!

Zapit, you might want to ask a mod to move this to the Pontoon section. Some of the guys over there have done some amazing things to their fishing barges.

I would recommend any of the metal, rail mount holders for your application. Taco, White Cap and Perko are some of the manufactures.

I have 4- Whitecap Bluewater Series Rail Mount 10" Rod Holders on my boat. Fish in excess of #100 and no ?rust? after 5 years of saltwater use.
