who do you think is the best classic rock band?

Define classic rock......

Awhile back I was in Colorado at a resort. I was hanging out at the pool and hot tubs and the radio station that was playing some great music from when I was growing up. Like GnR,Bon Jovi,Scorpians,Metalicca and queensryche. They then said their call letters and and it turned out they were the classic rock station for that area.

To me Classic rock is. Styx, Led Zep.,Areosmith,Frampton,Clapton,Ect...Ect...Ect.....

Same boat as Mikeandronda, I grew up on that music.....Makes ya feel old when its advertised as "classic rock"

this is about as inconclusive a discussion as to what is the best truck or best motor oil. As for me, it's definetely Pink Floyd and Zeppelin.

BOSTON! They were amazing! Tom Scholtz had an amazing voice and the rest of the band was extremely talented as well. My dad went to one of their concerts and he said they performed just as well live as in the studio.
2nd would have to be Zeppelin, Skynyrd, Aerosmith and gods like Clapton and Stevie Ray, Hendrix, etc the list goes on
all of them produced great music, especially compared to the utter crap that is called "music" today
althought i love their music, i don't think gnr and bonjovi classify as classic rock compared to above. but still, great bands!!

Classic? Best? Has to be the Beatles, but I really don't completely understand the Criteria.

me personally, agree w/ qc. Beatles. still listen to them regularly, much to my gf displeasure, ........ she just don't understand, oh well......

stones or zep would be real close runner ups......
