...I mean carb :D

Is this normal?

I have this on my Merc 5.7. Had a look down the throat today with the engine at idle. Saw fuel dribbling out of the jet in droplets, not a spray. Droplets are large enough to reach the butterfly plate. Is this normal?

Adjusting the idle jets don't make any difference. Also, moving the throttle from 1,200rpm (neutral gear) back to idle quickly (not rapid) can stall the engine.

To give a bit more background, had the carb off while working on the cylinder heads. Carb had been inverted, messed up the float setting or dislodged some dirt?

Thanks.

You have a inlet leaking or float to high and you may be right too

Ditto...

And when you get it apart, make certain the air bleeds in the top of the carb body are clean. Blow some air through them to be sure.

Geez... is there anything not broken on this engine? :)
