I have been searching for a good deal on a very specific style of small boat, and have found exactly what I'm looking for but have one specific concern. This is a riverhawk 15' fiberglass boat which has been in the water in a covered slip for 5 years (since new). The owner says there are no fiberglass problems or patches, but i'm concerned about it being in the water so long. Can y'all please give your opinions/concerns, or things to look for?
Thank you.

Blisters on the hull would be the only thing to look for. Be around when it is pulled out as they can dissappear quickly

Sitting in the water for five years is not a good thing for any boat. You could have more issues as you start to clean the hull up then you originally see. However, if you think the price is fair and you really like the boat, everything can be make good again and then it is happy boating. I would inspect everything including the transom and flooring everywhere. If there are no soft sports or wet wood, you should be good to go. But merely looking isn't good enough. You really need to drill core samples at the lowest part of the transom to see if water has penetrated. If any wet shavings comes out, the transom needs to be changed. Same with the floor. JMHO
