I took my boys out yesterday about 1 hr before sunset bass and crappie were jumping surfacing all over tried rubber worms and crankbaits, worms on bobber and nothing .thinking next time to try crawler harness also minnows on bobber . water goes from 7ft to shallows gravel bottom. any suggestions as we are planning on going out next sat.

There's a number of lures you can throw at them when they're busting shad like that. A white spinnerbait with silver willowleaf blades, a white fluke, a silver/black rattletrap, a silver/black popper or a walk-the-dog type lure.
