riser sizes

Hi All, For the purpose of riser replacement were exactly are the(3" or 4") measurements taken & are there available some type of cross reference between the merc. riser/manifold part numbers & the aftermarket type. 1998 5.0 Alpha Merc. <br />Merc.manifold p/n 860246 C<br />Merc. dont know about the cross reference but the 3 and 4 inch refers to the exhust pipe OD on the riser and there are a few different outlet angles.<br /> but yes both barrand sierra have the direct replacement stuff and I think osco is back in the game.

nope<br /> all are about the same.<br /> I would imagine some buy from others as foundry work is a tad pricey. OMC used to have barr cast all their stuff when the barr foundry burned in the mid ninties it got difficult to get certain manifolds.
