I have a question for everyone. While I was out shopping for a boat lately I came across a set up of mercruiser V8 (it was a 305) and an alpha one outdrive, I believe it was a 1988 setup? I have looked at so many it's all blending together. Anyway I couldn't help but notice the bellow that connects the riser exhaust elbow to the y-pipe on the port side was straight in-line and when looking at the starboard side the alignment was off maybe 1/2" to where the elbow was over the y-pipe about a 1/2" towards the transom. The bellow was on and tighten down and did not leak.

I have never seen this before and was wonder why or what would cause this to happen? Is there any danger I should point out or concerns? :confused:Thanks.

I wonder if he did a exhaust manifold conversion from log style to center riser ? Without seeing pics I dont know- If you were serious about buying it, I would have a marine mechanic look at it.
