DW and I needed a night out and it was my turn to pick. We usually go for a romantic comedy or blockbuster type movie, but I like to pick unusual stuff.
Really know very little about the "Apes" movie franchise (never seen one), but this one did not seem to have any ties to anything earlier.
Decied to give it a try, we really liked it and the rest of the audiance seemed to, also.
It is simply amazing what they can do with CGI and realism. Lots of mayhem, but only a couple of human deaths, to those asking for it.
We gave it two thumbs up.
