What is the power plant? My brother bought a new Rinker (28') in 2006 and has had nothing but problems with it, but approximately half of his issues are with the VP engine and outdrive. The rest was with the accessory components on the boat (TV, generator, AC, canvas enclosure, etc). Big issues with the bellows, driveshafts, U-joints, and couplers. If he had not purchased the extended warranty, he would have dumped over $10,000 into it since new. In fact, it only has slightly more than 110 hours on it because it spent more time out of service than in.
I also read another thread on here about a woman with a new Rinker having the same issues. Search the threads for them. Hopefully, more people will chime in and relay their experiences to you so you can make an informed decision.
