Hi Rod How often should I run ringfree in my 2003 115 2 stroke and should I run any other additives and how often. Thanks Boats P.S. I took my boat in and they adjusted the choke somehow and now it starts much better. Also now it does bog down when I push in the choke while running.( it didn't before as I wrote you previously) $118.00 sound about right? choke adjust & systems check Thanks Rodbolt

Re: ringfree Rodbolt

ring free is reccomended for each tank at 1 ounce ring free per ten gallons of gas.
as far as the service I think your area is a bit higher than mine due to environmental and economic issues. without knowing the shop labor rate nor the exact service done its hard to say. however if it now starts and runs correctly 118 aint that bad.
about the only other additive is possibly stabilizer if you intend to store it more than 6 weeks or so.

Redbolt

I gotta ask...is Ring Free as good or better than Sea Foam for the Yamaha engines?

I use to use Stabile in my other small engines (cycle, mower, preasure washer etc, and found it to gum up the carbs, now I use Sea Foam exclusivly in them.

When my Yanaha engine is out of warranty I am considoring Sea Foam in place of Ring Free, as it seams to be great stuff, but only want to do good, not bad for my engine.

opinions? Observations?
