I have read good things about this and are wanting to do this to my 95, 90hp Yamaha 2 stroke.

I have a new, separate 6gal fuel tank i am going to use. How much ring free should i add to 6 gallons? Are there any negative effects to doing this? I understand i might need to replace some spark plugs?

Also, after the shock treatment, should i add some seafoam to the onboard (22 gal) tank?

I am new to boating and need all the help I can get!

Thanks!

There is nothen wrong with running ring free thur the system. I believe the shock treatment is 2oz per gallon and 1oz there after. It's actually a very good product. You should be ok on your plugs. If you were to run decarb spray thur the intake then I would say change them.

Thanks for the answer LDavidgrover.

Yes 99yam40, I have read all the post on it and did not see a definitive answer on it for my motor, that's why I asked. I was unsure if it was different or not. This is a web forum correct? A place where you go to get answers? Seem's to me you do not like new people coming on here asking questions.

I have the same motor, Yamaha 90C, 1999, and have used the Ringfree(carbon) all the time since new at Carbon Prevention dosage of an ounce per 6 gallons of gas, plus the Stabil(stabilizing) to prevent fuel degrading and gumming carbs. The Ringfree Decarb Dosage is on the back of the bottle, 1 ounce per gallon as I recall. Some folks use Seafoam for decarbing and stabilizing also. I've read that decarbing can foul plugs so best to check them afterwards. Install Walmart/Attwood($27) fuel/water separator type canister filter on your transom to help prevent fuel related problems. Good Luck!:)

Sorry if you think that. It is not what I meant.
I did not see David's post as I was searching and typing, I am slow sometimes.
Most of the threads on that subject give what Yamaha ring free say on the product container and I just wondered if you had searched and read them or the container
