I have been watching out for a decent kicker for my Holiday...
With her being pretty light @ under 1,000 lbs probably..
But plus me (260 lbs..yeah I know....whatever) plus another 3 people, say another 350 lbs...PLUS the ever important ice chest..maybe 75 lbs..

We are at over 1,600 lbs...

What HP kicker should I be serious about? Dont tell me a 125hp! lol
That would hurt my feelings...:D

Mostly inner coastal and some of Floridas bigger lakes

Thanks amigos!

9.9 Yamaha or Suzuki 4 stroke ,elect start, long shaft,, and with a flow thru prop. that allows the boat to ,reverse much better, to back troll. Good used ones around the west coast in PAWN shops. the economy has made it good pickins for boat nuts with a few dollars to spare. Ed in Mt Vernon Wa. state dont need any bigger or smaller as smaller motors are not known to run well. Esp older ones

I have a 8hp Mercury long shaft 4-stroke on my 18' Starcraft. Have no complaints.

Hi,
How much the 4 stroke weigh? I was just wondering if the batteries and the portable gas cans still be stored in the back of the boat?
I was concerned because I am planning to add a kicker also but never had the boat in the water yet so have no idea how it will float.
Did you have to move the gas or the battery (s) up toward the bow?
I was hoping that I could store the batteries and the 3 X 6 gal. gas tanks in their original location in the back of the 18' Holiday.
