Right and Left Turning Radius

Hi Everybody,

1995 Lund Tyee w/Volvo DP-C1 drive. I've noticed that my boat has a tighter turning radius turning left and not so much turning right. After further inspection, if the drive is turned fully to the left it looks like it actually comes to a hard stop. If I turn fully right It doesn't even come close to hitting that hard stop. The hard stop is actually part of the casting on the upper part of the drive.
Is this normal? If not is there a correction to this and how do I do it?

It's not a big deal when I'm up on plane but backing away from the dock or menuvering in tight places can get a little interesting at times.

Thanks in advance for your replies.

Prop rotation has a lot to do with turning as well. The steering cable and how far it will extend is probably less than what the drive can move.

Yeah I figured prop rotation had something to do with it, but when I saw plain as day that the drive literally turned farther in one direction than the other I thought something might be amiss. Maybe not though.

Thanks Don.
