I want to put two late-50's OMC 18 hp outboards on the back of my old Texas Maid aluminum runabout. I can figure out the steering part, but any ideas on how to rig these (throttles/shifts) to one control? Or would I have to have two controls...one for each outboard? Any advice/ideas are appreciated.

In those days OMC made a dual engine control box with 2 throttle and 2 shift levers. I haven't seen one in years, but you might try checking out e-bay. As an option, if you buy 2 OMC Shpmaster controls, they could be bolted together back to back, and I'm sure with a little shimming they could be side mounted to your control panel.
