Re: help...

that looks a little dangerous, unless it uses a trolling type motor

Is there any model name on the boat?

Re: help...

hi.....welcome to i boats....
you will find all the help you need right here.

what do you want to know?

we see a lot of people want info on a boat....but the truth is that all boats are made the same way....so all you have to know is how to make a boat.

i dont care what manufacture it is from donzi to scarab to glastron, searay and bayliner.....THEY ARE ALL THE SAME.

if you want to restore it.....look on the completed projects forum in the restoration section read...read...read.

then start a thread....take pictures.

thats a real cool little boat....
a pro could restore that in a weekend.
it will be a super fun project !

cheers
oops

Re: help...

thanks guys. roscoe, you found more info than i did...you found an address. what i was wanting to know was the model #/name, any pics of the original boat, if there's any accesories like the addictor has and maybe if there are any other owners out there....ANYTHING! the boat is in great shape, cant tell that there has ever been a motor mounted on it.

Re: help...

my first thought was it looks like it came off a merry go round,
in nice shape great place to start a refresh, a nice 20-30hp would make that thing fun.
wish i could help on the backround for ya, like oops said doesnt matter what name is on the side, most are built the same way, as far as accesories the addictor parts may work, most boats do not have a dedicated accessory line
looks like you have yourself a project my freind, good luck, D

Re: reyco products mini-speed boat

It looks like the boat that was used at the now long closed Action Park in NJ, only they were single seaters. They would get on plane but I cannot recall the HP of the outboards (I'd guess 15hp). They were fun but were unstable due to lack of beam (I dove in to help someone who flipped and the boat would not return right side up).
I was 6'2" and was wedged in at the knees, but it was alot of fun.

Sorry about the lack of help on the make, u just brought back memories.

To tell if it ever had a motor on it, look at where the motor mounts, there should be some de or impression from the bolts or drilled holes.

Be safe on that one!

That thing looks like an old carnival ride. I seen something like this in a huge water pool at the Louisiana State Fair years ago (I spent 14 years in the SPort/Bossier area). They were powered by a small 5 HP outboard. Where the heck did you find it?

Oh yea... Go Mudbugs. :D

Re: reyco products mini-speed boat

hey fixb52 i found it behind a guys shop about 7yrs ago in Marshall Tx. for $50.00. had it painted as soon as i got it and its just sat ever since. finally found a trailer for it and just got done redoing it. now im gonna repaint the boat and hopefully have it on the water this summer. i got on here just to see if i could find out any history on it or the company...i like to know what i have so i can tell others. i have my eye on another one in Arkansas but cant catch the owner at home. it looks to be an aqua lark. its just sitting in a pasture going to waste.

I just finished restoring an eight foot Jet-Lark.We closed off the hole for the jet and put a jack-plate on the back.It was rated 40hp on the plate but I put on a 50hp .It hauls *** but scary.

Re: reyco products mini-speed boat

i bet it does haul!! ive heard of guys out west running as big as 85hp with a 400lb counterwieght but i'd have to see it to believe it. yeah if i had a choice i'd rather have an aqua/jet lark...it looks like it has more leg room.

Hey there!
I just bought one of these Reyco Boat off a guy here locally in Texas!
I searched and searched for info on this Reyco Boat and all I could find is your post and some info about how they were built in Arlington, TX from 1984 to 1989.
I'd love to know if you have any other info and would love to see any pictures of yours that you are willing to share.
