Reverse polarity

I pulled the stupid today. Was putting my batteries back in my boat after charging them. '92 Rinker Captiva 206 with a Mercruiser 4.3LX. I put one battery in and wired everything up. Then I got a phone call that was a little irritating and lost my focus. Went back to what I was doing and wired up the second battery but I wasn't focusing so I reversed the polarity.

I've got a "dumb" Perko battery selector (https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81pEcrpU3WL._SX522_.jpg) so there was no connection on the battery as I screwed down the terminals. After finishing I popped the selector to "All" and made the connections live, one battery wired correctly, one wired in reverse. A little pop spark and smoke and I shut the thing off within 2 seconds.

How screwed am I? I'm pretty new to boats as I just bought this as a beater starter boat 2 years ago. I was already planning to possibly replace the starter or starter solenoid because it was having some rough starts from cold when I was last using it.

I rewired the batteries and plugged everything back in to see if everything was totally fried. I was relieved a bit when the audio system and speakers seemed to running perfectly, (had the boat at storage so I didn't have any ability to try starting it up), but then it dawned on me that the audio system is rigged up with it's own disconnect switch that was engaged when I had the batteries reversed so the system wouldn't have been hit with the reverse polarity.

Any advice? Was I likely saved by a fuse somewhere that I will need to change or is my starter solenoid and alternator going to be fried?

I think it's ok,, unless you have some sensitive IT.. diodes don't like it... your alternator is probably okay but the built in voltage regulator might be damaged. I'm glad for you that the tunes still function
