This forum has been helpful this year so lets see about my latest problem, I have Capri with a 76 Merc 650, runs great forward. Put it in reverse today for the 1st time since getting the lock fixed and it tries to engage but it makes a grinding noise and you can feel it in the throttle. If I just barely keep it in reverse it acts like it's going backward a little but it's like it's slipping or something. I get this problem fixed and the boat will be perfect but I'm afraid if i figure this out this year it will be too late to try it out but it's gotta be fixed so I would like to hear if someone has had the same problem and what they had to do to repair it.
