I notice many pwcs being reved up on the trailer after they are taken out of the water. I have a 1991 Seadoo GS. Is this rev up necessary?

Yes, it blows most, but not all of the water left in the waterbox out. There's no other way to do it, short of disassembling the waterbox from the ski. (not pratical)

I don't even start my ski after use before I get it home and backflush the pump first with a hose . Then I run it on the hose with dish soap added to the flush adaptor, when the soap stops coming out the exhaust ,, about 2 min, I then turn off the hose and just give it a few quick raps on the throttle to blow out the water.
