Retrofitting tilt/trim to a 1960 Evinrude Lark 40 hp

Hello all. I was wondering if anyone has any input on retro fitting a tilt trim set up to my 1960 40 hp? I was wondering if a 1970 60hp 60073d evinrude tilt/trim assembly would work? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also I'm trying to spend less than the CMC model. My model number is: 35520 and the serial number is: 06070.

Hmmm, never heard of anyone trying this before. Not sure it would be very feasible.

Ain't no way in hades that 60hp tilt/trim will work on your 40. In fact, OMC never offered any at all for that motor.

CMC is the only way you could go.
