RESULTS ON POWER HEAD FAILURE

THE MERC 200EFI 2 TIME POWERHEAD FAILURE IS DUE TO A FAULTY IGNITION BOX ADVANCING THE TIMING TO THE TOP STARBOARD CYCLINDER. THE LAST TIME THE SAME CYCLINDER WENT AND THE TECH SAID IT WAS A SHORTED WIRE IN THE HARNESS. SHOULD BE ALL DONE NEXT WEEK.<br /><br /> MISTYLADY

mistylady,<br /> Hope you make out better this trip.But I am not sure you are done yet.<br /><br />Shorted wire in the harness..... maybe.<br /><br />Advance timing to one cyinder.... teach me,as all the cylinders are attached firmly to the crankshaft.Sounds like a bad idea.<br /><br />Maybe they mean when the injector fires or then misfires...<br /><br />DHP
