I picked up an old F7 today. I took a load of scrap in today and they had this F7 sitting there. Don't know the year yet. Sent the SN to Alumacraft today. FYI its F7-29300.

I snapped a few pics which I will upload as soon as I figure out how to do it again.

It does have a hole in the bottom, about a quarter size, which I will have to patch, the rear seat is missing its brackets but all in all, its not in that bad of shape. I managed to get her for $200 and when I figure in the $70 I got for the scrap I took in, it's a $130 boat. She's not much to look at now, but she will be. I'll get the "before" pics up soon, hopefully by tomorrow. The model R was needing some company anyway.

Alumacraft came through with some information.

It's a 1965. 14' x 55" x 26" deep.
Rated for a 28 Hp. Load capacity 757 lbs.

In 1965 it sold for $359.00

Nice find! We have that boat but with Sears branding. In fact we're taking it out tonight!

Despite its low freeboard it's fairly stable and handles chop well. We've had 3 adults and a 3 year old in it at once before and it was fine. We push it with an Evinrude 4HP that of course won't plane it but gets us around pretty nicely.

Nice find indeed. The closest i ever got to a find like that was a old 50's Holda 10' john boat that flipped off a truck and bounced down the road a good bit,i got it for a case of beer, lol, that was fun to fix.I actually wish i still had that boat.

Classics FTW!

Cool. Good to know. Seems we have an old F7 and a SS18 in common. You don't have an old Saroca do you? That's a sail-row-canoe boat.

Does the rear seat in your F7 have the same braces as the two middle seats do? Mine are missing but there don't seem to be rivet holes. Couldn't quite tell from your pic. Maybe it's not missing a part.
Thanks.

Interesting... I didn't know of Alumacraft and Sears. And your Evinrude 4HP... got to love it. I have that same motor, 1991.
