Hi guys.
thanks a million for all your advise.

i am looking to install just a very simple basic stereo that is cheap for me.
i have 2 speaker around 1200W and i wanted to just use a car stereo and power that up with a separate battery that i have (12v deep cycle).
reason i dont choose a marine stereo is that i will be taking this stereo home when i leave the boat and also i will take the battery one once its pretty drained and charge it.
so just looking for a wiring diagram if anyone can help. i tried to look but i cant find anything at all.
thanks

Ayuh,... You need a diagram for the stereo you buy.... Not for the hull...

If you are using a standard automobile radio, you need the diagram that comes with that radio. We can't help you with that since we have no idea what radio you will end up with. Some radios have power antenna outputs, four channels, separate memory and power inputs, RCA connections for external amps, external power amp power on connections, etc.

Most stereos have a basic hookup sticker on it. Any NEW one will have a manual. It doesn't cost much extra for a marine grade stereo, so spend the extra 20 bucks (approx.). It's the moisture and humidity it's subjected to on the water that causes problems, not when it's docked. And finally, you cannot drive 1200 watt speakers with a cheap stereo. Most standard units put out 50-70 watts per channel. If you want to drive 1200 watts, you'll need additional amps, and I then wouldn't want to be on the same lake as you.
