reproduction hull ID plates?

Are there any companies that will remake or reproduce aluminum hull ID plates? I would like to replace mine since with all the rebuilding and upgrades putting the old barely legible ID plate back on just doesn't seem right.

any suggestions?

Are you needing the capacity plate or HIN plate? Front what I've seen online there are no repop plates, only decals. I ordered a new capacity decal from the guys in the link below and put it on a backer piece of polished aluminum and then screwed it on my transom.

Preferably the HIN, but i guess if the capacity labels would have the hull id and manufacturer, that would be OK also-

I had to have a HIN assigned by the State for my 1970 Starcraft since it was not required by the CG when the boat was made. I intend on making my own HIN plate with punches on a piece of aluminum and then rivet it to the transom. I looked around online some for a custom made one but found the cost to not be worth it. The only place I found is a pain, you have to do the request a quote thing at their website.

An easy way to get HIN stamped on a plate is at a trophy shop.

Hey, thanks for the information Watermann. I just happened to be thinking about getting a new capacity plate made for a boat I'm rebuilding as the existing one is pretty tore up.
