Just completely removed a 2003 Tohatsu 90 TLDI outboard, controls, tach etc....
now have it all reinstalled and hooked back up. I know these engines are electrical marvels and dont want to mess anything up. Is there anything i should do to reset or start fresh on my boat? I have the proper battery and all is hooked up ready to go. Just need to know if there is something i should do before i fire it up....which i am very excited to do ASAP!!

Probably OK as is. BUT... best to follow the initial setup procedure in the owner's and service manuals. Bleed oil system, reset TPS, etc. Of course you will want to match up the correct prop by trial and error as well. You need a minimum 1,000 CCA battery. If the motor hasn't been serviced in a while, you should consider installing a new water pump kit. Is this an MD90A or MD90B? There is a fuel filter change for the 90B. Yours may or may not have been done. Check with your local dealer to verify whether the change from service bulletin 08-003US has been done.
