Replacing Water Tube 1985 9.9 long shaft

Before I take on the project, how difficult is replacing the water tube on 9.9 two-cycle engine? I have very limited experience with outboard engines. I have searched some of the posts and see there are some issues with seating the grommets. Any unique tools required? Anything else recommended besides the OMC service manual? Thanks.

The powerhead must be removed in order to replace that water tube.

I am just about to attempt this with my 1981 15hp johnson. The gromets around the water tube on my engine are deteriated and need replacing. I haven't started the take down yet though.
