I have a crack block due to freezing and was looking for a replacement long block (with heads) Found a company in Fl called RapidO Marine. Has anyone heard of them? They seem to have the best price and shipping cost for my 4.3l engine, but not sure if paying extra money to another company is really going to be worth it. Reviews are tought to read because some of the neg responses are just saying neg things because they do have the better price and delivery. Any assistance from anyone in regards to RapidO Marine would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Rich

What is it going to cost you btw? I'm going to be going through the same deal here shortly. Thanks!

Thanks All. Going to make the plunge today. SHould have it by end of next week and, hopefully installed and in water by next weekend. The 4.3L Vortec block with heads is $1450.00 plus $180.00 for delivery to a residential home (I guess $150.00 for shipping if its going to a business.) I will update all in about 2 weeks. Fingers crossed.

My buddy got a 351 Ford engine for his Mastercraft ski boat from them-no issues and he was satisfied.

Well engine came in, a little misunderstanding with the trucking company, but finally delievered and installed. Only issues was replacing the bolts. My old engine was metric and new one is standard. Quick trip to auto store and got the correct bolts. Not a big deal. So far so good. All engine components installed properly. Heads were installed and valves came already adjusted. Me and friend had no problem installing. We also did it without removing the sterndrive. Shaft came out of old engine easily and was re-inserted into new engine with no problems. Little difficult speaking with Raoul at RapidO Marine, but overall would highly recommend them. BTW my engine delivered to a residential house was $1630.00. Best price I was able to fine anywhere on the web. Final step is on the water test which will be done this weekend.

How did you align the motor and sterndrive without removing the sterndrive ? I'm guessing you didn't. Hope you get some time out of it before the coupler goes.
