Replacing lower seals on 2000 Merc 125hp

I need to replace the lower seals on my 2000 125hp Merc I bought the center carrier bearing but I cant get it to budge. Any tips or tricks?

I also want to ad that I am removing all the guts of the gear case and having the skeg repaired and thn putting it all back together with new seals and a water pump.
