I'm looking for any pointers on replacing the exhaust risers on my 5.7 engine. I've read the manual about draining the exhaust manifolds but want to make sure I'm going to incorporate the best practices from lessons learned so that the R/R has the "professional" touch. Any suggests or as I stated past lessons learned would be greatly appreciated.

Also, I have read that the wall thicknesses on the OEM Volvo Penta risers is superior. Any feedback on whether or not to go with aftermarket products (Sierra) would be appreciated as well. I'm thinking that spending the extra few dollars will go a long way; I'm a firm believer in "you get what you pay for" especially for such an important component. Thanks in advance for any helpful responses.
