Replacing Drive Shaft Bearings

The upper seal on my 1998 Alpha One Gen 2 needed replacing and upon inspection I discovered that the bearings should probably be replaced also. I want to purchase a manual hydraulic press and bearing splitter but want to make sure that I get the correct tool. Will a 12 ton press do the trick or should I spend the extra for a 20 ton? Thanks for your help.

Arbor press is all you need , a manual, fish scale or small torque wrench, spanner wrench and read about "rolling torque"

Thank you for the fast reply. I understand pre-load and I've got everything but the press so guess I'm headed to Northern Tool. Thanks again.
