I can't get behind the alternator to hold the top nut to remove it from the brackets. The power steering pump and all it's tubes are in the way. Any hints?
Are there seats or sun deck supports or etc.etc. that you can take out to make the job easier?Welcome to my world.Boatbuilders are not always kind when it comes to easy access in the engine comprartment.Ive had to pull engines to change starters and considered it to change oil filters more than once.
I've got complete access to the engine. The problem is that the power steering reservoir and pump are blocking the back of the alternator preventing me from getting a wrench on the back nut to loosen the screws. I'm hopinh I don't have to remove the whole power steering assembly.
Don't unhook the hoses...... just pull the p/s bracket bolts,+ lay it out of your way(bungee it off to the side, whatever)....it's Not that big of a deal....
